We aren’t just betting on the electric bike movement coming to the American masses. We know that it’s happening. It’s inevitable. Why? It’s already happening all over the world. It’s also happened every time a new, better technology has come along, all through history.
What happens? At first, only the crazy ones get on board. The “early adopters,” the innovative, the change-agents. Everyone thinks they’re out of their minds. Before long though, the crazies are the ones still doing their laundry by hand. Or calling you from their “land line.” Or mailing letters.
The electric bike movement is already happening. It’s a small flame now, but it’s heating up. That’s why we’re here. We won’t be content until we’ve got a 5 alarm fire on our hands. Until you see electric bikes swarming every major US city. And we want Junto to be leading the charge.
Our electric bikes are coming to your city. Get ready.
Why you might ask?
Built for the Urban Commuter
Cities all over the United States are seeing traffic slow to a halt. Take Philly for example: traffic has gone from an average of 15mph to 2mph in the last decade. It’s only getting worse. Bikes are a great option, but streets like Philly’s present their own challenges.
We designed the Junto in Philadelphia, for the great cities of America.
Philly’s rebel spirit goes back to the birth of the country. Unfortunately, many of Philadelphia’s roads haven’t been updated since. The streets feature ancient cobblestone, abandoned trolly tracks, and pothole minefields. That’s why we designed the Junto with large 29” wheels to take anything the road throws at it, and a custom frame geometry to keep you centered and balanced on the roughest terrain the city has to offer.
Designed for the Long Haul
We want the Junto to last forever. This isn’t a landfill bike, designed to last a year before falling apart. We handpicked every component for rugged, reliable performance, including the electric component like the battery. The Junto uses state of the art batteries that contain Samsung cells and BMS technology, providing the maximum power and distance, without sacrificing safety.
The exact range of a Junto will vary between based on both the commutes and the riders, but we typically see ranges of 30-60 miles and a battery life of 1,000 cycles.
Go ahead, draw a circle around your city center and imagine the possibilities.
Super Human Powers
The Junto is a pedal assist electric bike. To control the speed, you pedal. The harder you pedal, the more juice it gives you. We chose the smoothest torque sensor we could find, to accurately measure how hard you pedal and smoothly apply extra pressure in a way that makes you feel like a superhero. You feel like you’re flying.
This translates to an incredibly natural experience that makes the bike and its motor feel like an extension of the rider. When Junto riders experience it for the first time, you can see it in their eyes immediately. We call it “The Oh Sh!t Moment.”
Direct To Consumer
The Junto is 98% assembled by our team here in Philly, and then it is shipped directly to you. We skip the middle men and pass the saving straight to you, our valued customers and fellow members of the mobility revolution. This means that we can have state-of-the-art components that would only exist on a bike that costs at least $5,000, and we can deliver it to you for less than $2,000. Why? We’re on a mission to change the world. Besides, it’s the least we can do for our fellow revolutionaries.
Here’s the truth:
E-bikes are coming to cities all over the country. It’s inevitable. And when they do, it will be rugged, utilitarian, no bullshit workhorse bikes. They won’t stay clean. They won’t live life in a garage and be waxed weekly. They will be out on the streets, locked to street signs and parking meters. They will be out in the trenches fighting the good war.
So, are you in or are you out?
